Start your library
Choose Videos, Images or Music at the top, then use Import to select files or folders. You can also drag in local files. Originals remain in place; avoid moving or deleting them after import.
Collections and smart folders
Use the plus button on the left to create collections and subfolders, then drag media into them. Click a folder to select or collapse it; double-click to rename. Smart folders automatically show media matching keywords and conditions. Preview matches before saving; no source files are moved.
Preview, clips and image editing
Move horizontally over a video card to locate a frame; use I and O to set range boundaries. In the player, drag the markers on the timeline, save a clip record or export the range. Selecting a saved clip loops that range. Image tools such as drawing, arrows and text produce a copy without overwriting the original.
Save web images
Open the browser extension section in Settings for setup instructions. Your browser approval is required. Local loading is currently available; an official extension-store release is still being prepared. Enable a page to save images into a collection, or drag an image from your browser. Check the bottom status area for results. Some sites withhold images or restrict downloads. Web video capture is not supported.
Offline files or permissions
Right-click an offline item and choose Relink, or use Relink This File in its details. Choose the correct original; the app checks the replacement to reduce mismatches. Connect external disks first. You must approve macOS file access in the system picker; the app cannot bypass it.
Caches and backups
Settings shows separate video and image caches, cleanup controls and the total limit, which defaults to 30 GB. Library backups contain organization data and file references, not media. Before changing computers, back up the media too, then authorize and relink it on the new Mac. Restoring a library or clearing caches cannot recover originals deleted from disk.
Membership and purchases
The App Store edition shows actual Apple prices and trial eligibility in Membership & Purchases. Use Restore Purchases after reinstalling or changing devices. Cancel annual renewals in Apple subscription settings and request refunds from Apple. The personal edition needs no purchase. Commercial release is still pending.
